Many fish and chip shops have diversified their menus to include alternatives to traditional cod and haddock, such as pollock, coley, and hake. Gluten-free batter, vegan options, and premium ingredients have helped attract new customer segments. Some operators have invested in online ordering systems and delivery partnerships to capture the growing takeaway delivery market.
